Sara Landry Steps Back from Touring to Focus on Sophomore Album

Sara Landry, the driving force behind hard techno’s recent surge and boss of HEKATE Records, has signaled that her second album is officially underway. The producer, named to EDM.com’s Class of 2024, built serious momentum with her debut Spiritual Driveby, released in October 2024 after a grueling 15-month creative drought. That record pulled in guests like Nico Moreno and Shlømo, opened with a spoken prelude from her own hypnotist, and doubled as a personal manifesto which is proof that she could scale hard techno up to brighter, bigger spaces while keeping its teeth intact. Her landmark Tomorrowland Mainstage slot last year, the first ever for a hard techno act, underlined how far the sound has traveled under her watch.

Landry’s sets are relentless by design: rapid-fire tempos, punishing kicks, and long builds that turn dancefloors into tests of stamina. Spiritual Driveby bottled that same intensity into album form, pushing the genre toward wider audiences without filing down its industrial edge. The project arrived at the peak of a breakout run that saw her move from underground warehouses to some of the most visible platforms in electronic music.

She’ll close out her current commitments with a slot at EDC Thailand in Phuket, running January 16-18 alongside Zedd, deadmau5, GRiZ, Levity, and others. After that, the calendar clears.

Sara Landry shared: “I’m off until March so I can write my next album.”
